@JaydeMayaHinata the two signings we’ve made so far improve us as a squad, we have a new 2nd choice keeper and a talented cb/lb. next signings need to be 2 midfielders who can actually hold on to the ball and progress it up the pitch, and 2 out and out wingers. then i’ll be happy

@Donnykiff @_oyemomilara @ManUtdWomen i think the problem was that sandberg/rivière got injured which pushed janssen rb/lb and then turner came in to slot in to cb, rather than turner taking janssen’s position. the club viewed janssen as a starting cb over turner even when she recovered from injury

@Donnykiff @_oyemomilara @ManUtdWomen and when one of those is injured it pushes everyone to reshuffle bc our depth is so shallow and we have no like for like replacements. then you end up with everyone playing out of their preferred positions. we need to start signing for specific positions.

@Donnykiff @_oyemomilara @ManUtdWomen unfortunately we have quite a versatile pack of forward players, and because of this the club have overlooked signing out and out positions. that’s left us with players starting in positions that aren’t their strongest eg terland, malard, park, schuller, wangerheim all played oop

@Donnykiff @_oyemomilara @ManUtdWomen don’t get me wrong, i’m all for integrating the youth into the first team, that’s written in the DNA of Manchester United FC. however i hope we sign some players who can help develop our youngsters and get them in shape for wsl football too. It’s about finding a good balance.

@ManUtdWomen a priority? no a good signing? absolutely we need quality back up options and this is a good upgrade on Saf. I think it became obvious that we needed a better 2nd choice keeper when PTJ got injured last season. Signings like this raise the floor of the squad.
