@JoeNBC Get off yr old folks kick. In MN more people 20-44 get it than other age grps, and in the UK men under 60 with no preexist. conds are more likely to die than my demograph, woman 70+ with no preexist conds. Enough with yr ageism.

@nprscottsimon Substitute any demographic for the word “older” and hear how you sound. A good host is one who asks questions, points out inaccuracies, and helps the conversation You did none of that.

@nprscottsimon Really offensive was stereotyping older people. Don’t use social media? We keep Facebook alive. Only read hard copy newspapers? Have land lines? No TV? Not as informed as young people? Clearly yr guest was misinformed

@nprscottsimon <55 in good health now in ICUs. The China data—trust it? Turns out yes, older people had worse outcomes, but most were men and smokers. Should older men who smoke be concerned? Yes. How about the obese? According to Dr. Michael Osterholm, that's a problem. etc

@nprscottsimon yr talk with Melissa Batchelor today was offensive on many levels. Neither you nor she did your homework. 38% of the seriously ill are those under 55. Asking no questions promulgates the idea that the young may get the virus, but they don't need to worry. Wrong.
