You should read the whole piece: thedankoe.com/letters/the-fu… I understand where you're coming from. Personally I don't feel that guilt. I've always believed that my well being made me more useful to the people in my life. The better I am, the better I am for everyone who crosses my path. Due to that belief, I don't feel guilty when I am following what inspires me. I do think the 4hrs (or whatever amount of time is right for you) of application is critical.

Design a life that prioritizes your mental inputs and outputs. Understand that 4 hours of focused work yields much higher results than 12 hours of scattered work. credit to @thedankoe

How do you make it easier for customers to find/choose the right product on your @BigCommerce site? It's a question that never really gets answered, but should be constantly asked. This morning, I took a deep dive into the "Add to Wishlist" feature. I've generally regarded this feature as useless and a quick way of getting most of the benefit is to implement a Cart Drawer which allows customers to easily create a shortlist of products they are interested in. The big reason the wishlist feature sucks is because on most implementations, it requires the visitor to create an account. This is true for BigCommerce stores. It doesn't have to be that way, and in fact when it's done right it can become the perfect tool for customers to flag products that interest them when looking at category pages, search result pages, related product blocks, and any other area where products are being discovered. I found a pretty good implementation of this at: bonprix.de The key points are: 1️⃣ No Login Needed: Let users save favorites with local storage or cookies. 2️⃣ Use item counts combined with a clear "favorites" icon in the header to confirm an item has been added. 3️⃣ Integrate on product cards. Think category pages, search results, related product blocks. All possible to do with BigCommerce and some custom development.

@shl So true. I initially thought you meant "you should judge everyone else based on the behavior" which didn't feel right, but after reading your thread, I think it's spot on. That double standard exists, but it shouldn't. Well done for getting this perspective out there. 🙌

Blessings One of my BigCommerce clients is a group of religious sisters and their e-mail signature starts with "Blessings,". I know it's automatic, but no matter what the e-mail says, the word at the end makes it always feel better. What would be a good word for me? I'm all ears for suggestions.
