This thread. No, it's not just a Dem trick, but it's why your "choice" of "leaders" as a voter is useless. The choice is an illusion, and we have no leaders in Congress. They don't give a fuck about us.
This is the dumb trick the Dem Party has been using on their followers for years now. When something they pretend to oppose "must pass" (like the NDAA), they ensure there are just enough Dem votes for it to pass, even if it's just by one vote. Then they tell all other Dems:

I don't know what broke in the matrix, but watching John Bolton not only plead guilty to a felony but the specific felony he spent decades depicting as the most egregious -- calling for life imprisonment or execution for it -- is a level of karmic justice I didn't know existed.
