Wishing the @Risex team a fast recovery and full fund tracing. If our security team can help in any way, tracing, forensics, exchange coordination, our door is open. DM anytime. Hackers don’t care which protocol you use. They are the common enemy, and security matters more than competition. Two things this industry should internalize: 1.Security headcount is not overhead. It deserves the same investment as core dev, sometimes more. 2.Years of CEX attack-and-defense taught us that defense is a discipline, not a checklist. That knowledge should flow freely between teams, not stay siloed. And one more: independent researchers like @zachxbt carry a huge part of this industry’s security load, mostly unpaid. Fund them properly, through bug bounties, public security orgs, and open donations. Free-riding on their work while cutting security budgets is how the next exploit happens.

When Bybit was hacked for approximately $1.5B in February 2025, Bitget, Binance, and MEXC stepped up with emergency liquidity support, collectively contributing over $300M. CoinEx and KuCoin helped track and freeze a portion of the stolen funds. I think if we want perp DEXes of the same level - or at least close to it - as Binance, Bybit and the rest, founders of perp DEXes need to show real respect and support toward each other, especially in situations like what just happened with RiseX. The founder of TxFlow set a perfect example of how this should be done by offering his help. Instead of trying to put down other perp DEXes the way the founders of Paradex and Ostium did (and later their words came back to haunt them), founders need to understand that the perp DEX meta is still very early. There isn't even a solid top-5 of perp DEXes that have firmly established themselves in the market with active user trading yet. And one of the biggest problems founders should be solving right now - a problem that is shared by everyone - is hackers. They are the common enemy, and security is already more important than competition. Because when one protocol gets exploited, the rest of the perp DEXes suffer too through the damage to trust in DeFi. Nobody knows who gets hit next. Just this summer alone, four perp DEXes have already been hacked - Ostium, AFX, Cascade, and RiseX. This is a message to the founders of perp DEXes - the ones who are actually building, not the scammers who stage these hacks themselves. The money you raised from investors or earned from fees - before you spend it on KOL marketing, before you run contests and giveaways, before you throw money at anything secondary - your first priority must be investing in the security of your protocol. You need qualified people for this, not "Claude, I'm a perp DEX founder, find potential exploits in my protocol." Of course this doesn't guarantee 100% security, but at least you reduce the risks and users will see the audits that were actually done. Founders have become so obsessed with points programs and chasing users that they've forgotten the most important thing - working on the security of the protocol.
