Remote access is now built right into Screens. Starting with Screens 5.8.8, there’s no need to install Screens Connect separately on Macs running macOS 14 or later. Sign in, enable remote access, and connect to your Mac from anywhere. Learn more: blog.edovia.com/en/remote-acce…
Update: We’ve identified the cause of the Alert crash, reported it to Apple, and implemented a workaround. The fix will be included in Screens 5.8.9.

@myappzone9 Yes, basically anywhere the remote app accepts text input. Screens just needs to be able to type the dictated text into the remote computer, so it can be useful for commands, prompts, quick messages, or longer text too.

Screens 5.6.11 is now available on iOS and macOS. visionOS should follow later today. We’ve addressed the recent Tailscale issue and their team confirmed the backend changes. Our fix should also cover any future changes, even if they’re unannounced.
PSA: Tailscale recently changed their JSON format without notice, which is causing Screens to fail when fetching device data for some users. We’ve submitted Screens 5.6.11 to Apple with a fix. It should be available soon — stay tuned!
