By now, everyone should know this clearly.
Any ministry culture built on threats, fear, curses, intimidation, emotional blackmail, or manipulation is unhealthy.
Statements like:
“If you leave, something terrible will happen to you.”
“Someone left and ran mad.”
“They left and later died.”
“Anybody that disconnects from this covering will suffer.”
“Look at those who left us, where are they now?”
…are not the language of Christ. They are the language of control.
No minister of Christ should manipulate people into staying through fear.
The Church is not a cult. Pastors are not owners of destinies. Spiritual leadership is not psychological imprisonment.
If someone genuinely believes the Lord is leading them elsewhere, they should not be intimidated, cursed, bullied, gaslighted, or emotionally tortured into staying. Even Paul and Barnabas separated paths in Acts 15 without one placing curses on the other.
Yes, loyalty matters. Yes, honour matters. Yes, accountability matters.
But manipulation is not loyalty. Fear is not submission. Control is not fatherhood.
The moment a ministry survives by terror, suspicion, threats, and prophetic intimidation, something has already gone wrong.
And hear this loudly:
If a person stays in a church only because they are afraid something evil will happen if they leave, that is not spiritual conviction. That is bondage.
A healthy ministry should be able to release people without bitterness. A healthy leader should not need fear to keep people connected.
A healthy believer should not be mentally enslaved by “what if something happens to me if I leave?”
Christ does not build His Church through intimidation. The Spirit leads. He does not manipulate.
And if you are a believer sitting under constant fear, threats, and control tactics, recognise it for what it is. You are not under spiritual covering. You are under psychological captivity dressed in spiritual language.
“Where the Spirit of the Lord
is, there is liberty.”
2 Corinthians 3:17
Let ministers lead with truth, doctrine, character, love, and persuasion. Not fear. Not curses. Not emotional captivity.
Not again please!
Don't put yourself in a position where you will be easily misinterpreted and the easiest way to do that now is by what you put out on your social media because believe it or not it's a reflection of your person
Benchmarks are important.
Become the benchmark, or die trying.
There’s no reward for unnecessary toil.
Set them, stubbornly insist on them, then exceed them or die trying.
John Obidi
No be say we get anything against Nigerian Pastors o but when you see Person wey God call, you go just know.
When you see church wey na family, you go just know ❤️👏
This is what the church should represent and not the ones that stay taking even from the little you have.
Not the ones that own schools their members can’t even attend.

I am a sucker for educational podcasts.
But there are only a handful of podcasts that have truly changed me in unimaginable ways.
Read the thread for those and the links to them.

There are lines a believer must never cross in conflict. The moment your goal is no longer truth, , restoration, or reconciliation, but bringing another believer down at any cost, you have stepped onto dangerous ground. At that point, you are no longer being governed by the Spirit of Christ. You have entered a territory where darkness gladly lends its strength. There is an 'evil assistance' that follows hatred, slander, vengeance, and destructive ambition.
The first line is this: making it your mission to 'destroy' or 'ruin' another believer, regardless of the provocation. Once your satisfaction is tied to another person's downfall, your heart has become vulnerable to another spirit. The issue is no longer what they did. The issue is what you have become.
The second line is gathering allies, forming secret alliances, whispering in corners, recruiting people, and plotting together to bring another child of God down. The kingdom of God has never been advanced by conspiracies. The moment you build a fellowship around someone's destruction, you are sliding into zones that Christ never authorised.
The third line is hatred. When you secretly rejoice at another believer's pain, wish them evil, pray for their downfall, speak curses over them, or long to see them disgraced, you have crossed into a place of grave spiritual danger. Hatred is not a small weakness. It is an invitation to darkness.
At this point, you do not need better arguments. You need mercy.
Do not underestimate the spiritual consequences of sustained bitterness. Guard your heart more than your reputation. Protect your spirit more than your pride. No offence is worth losing your sensitivity to God. No provocation is worth becoming the very thing Christ died to save you from.
Choose forgiveness. Choose restraint. Choose the fear of God. It is better to suffer wrong and remain under the influence of the Holy Spirit than to win a battle while becoming an instrument of another spirit.
