Many times, I bid you farewell, saying, “Perhaps this will be my last tweet,” thinking you might read what I wrote after I was gone. Perhaps you were also waiting to hear news of my martyrdom, and I could sense your fear and worry for me, just as I was deeply worried for my family, having lost two of them—pieces of my heart. Now, with everything ruled by silence and death loud as a buzzing fly, I’ve come to realize that war teaches us that death is the twin of life, and life doesn’t have to unfold the way we desire or imagine. War has taught me this: if you want to survive, save someone. Don’t think of yourself; think of others. Think of all those forgotten by life. Think of the poor and the destitute. Think of your family, your friends, your neighbors, and all your loved ones. If you want to survive, think of others.

This is a hard reality to face. Malignant narcissist parents abuse their scapegoat children as much as they can get away with with the INTENTION of destroying their life slowly and painfully. Their conclusion is, if their victim child dies by suicide, they get to play the “poor me” victim role and bask in the attention. If the child survives and tries to expose them for abuse, they’ll paint the child as being “crazy” “troubled” or “delusional”, and play the “deeply concerned parent with a confused troubled child” role, and bask in the sympathy from “understanding parents” who “support them for their strength through such a difficult time.” For psychopathic narcissist parents, this is a win/win situation. They dream of this. They fantasize about the attention of such a dramatic scene and the power trip of owning/ending another person’s life in front of the world and getting away with it. Yes, they’re actually trying to stress the child/adult into a nervous breakdown or suicide. This is what many modern psychopaths really look like and this is why most people don’t see them for what they really are. Without tangible evidence, most people don’t want to believe such evil is happening intentionally, especially from people they thought they knew.

Many people are stuck in constantly regressing negative meta-emotional feedback loops. They are anxious about their anxiety. Or they are self-critical about how self-critical they are. Or they feel guilty about feeling sad. Or guilty about procrastinating. Or guilty about feeling guilty about things instead of taking action on them. ime, the way to break these feedback loops is always to set a hard boundary of love at what ever stage of regression that you meet yourself at. If you are feeling anxious, intervene by giving love to your anxiety. If you are anxious about being anxious, intervene by giving love to your anxiety about your anxiety. If you feel guilty about feeling anxious about your anxiety because your set an intention to feel love towards your anxiety about your anxiety… then intervene by giving love to your guilt about your anxiety about your anxiety. It really doesn’t matter where you find yourself in the regression cycle, injecting love at that point is what will over time break the cycle. As each part of your psyche starts to realise that whatever it does, it will be met with love, the anxiety and second-guessing that drives the regression will start to dissipate. And, of course, when you inevitably catch yourself failing to give love to yourself in this way, give love to the part of you that failed to give love. We can soon train our minds to replace an infinite regression of anxiety, guilt and self-criticism within an infinite regression of love.

They don't ask for context when Americans die. On September 11, 2001, nobody on American television said: "Before we process this, can we discuss U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East since 1953? Can we talk about the support for the Mujahideen? Can we contextualize the sanctions on Iraq that killed 500,000 children in the 1990s? Can we ask whether American actions created the conditions?" Nobody said that. It would have been considered monstrous to say that. The dead deserved mourning, immediate and unconditional. But when you show them the dead on the other side, suddenly context is everything. Suddenly you need to condemn the right people first. Suddenly grief requires paperwork. The rule is not "context matters." The rule is "context matters for their dead." Yours just need to have filled out the form correctly before they were allowed to bleed.

The defining ideology of our time may be neurocentrism: the belief that the deepest truths about who we are and why we suffer lie in isolated brains. We have been trained to ask, "What kind of brain (or neurotype) am I?" instead of, "How have my relationships, circumstances and our society shaped me?" When the brain becomes the privileged explanation for human suffering, the world disappears. Biography is rewritten as biology; the person-in-their-world is reduced to a nervous system; agency and selfhood are effects rather than causes.

A 14-year-old Muslim girl was dragged off a bus and punched in the chest on her way home from school. Her friend was thrown to the ground and knocked unconscious. Her other friend was thrown into a road with moving cars. The woman called her a "f***ing fat N*****" before dragging her off by force. Three schoolgirls. A public bus. Broad daylight. In Birmingham, men grabbed a woman from behind, dragged her down and ripped off her hijab near Gravelly Hill station. Her father had to intervene. Police released CCTV. On 19 June in Edinburgh, five Muslim men were attacked with a machete. Two had just left prayers. The attacker shouted about "Muslim bastards" as he was arrested. Ten terrorism charges. On 24 June in Newham, a mosque was targeted with racial abuse. The Newham Muslim Forum said political inaction has normalised it. These aren't isolated. They're accelerating. The Islamophobia Response Unit recorded a 377% rise in cases between 2023 and 2024. 906 investigated. The Muslim Women's Network UK surveyed Muslim women around the 2024 riots. Before, 17% were very worried for their safety. After, 74%. In January, Parliament published its first ever inquiry into gendered Islamophobia. 1 in 5 Muslim women experienced a hate incident in the last year. 80% never reported it. Hate targeting Muslim women is more likely to carry sexual aggression than hate targeting men. The finding: they are targeted because they are visible. In May, the government responded. It refused the word Islamophobia. The women being attacked asked for it to be named. The government took the name away. After Edinburgh, the outgoing Prime Minister said the attack "appears to be motivated by anti-Muslim hatred." The Home Secretary said "appears." Ten terrorism charges had already been laid. This morning, GB News published: "The police keep caving in to Muslims." The same morning, the head of the National Secular Society attacked The Guardian for using the word Islamophobia at all. You can criticise the religion, they say. Just not the people. Tonight, Katie Hopkins takes a stage in Leicester. The APPG definition has existed since 2018. 800 organisations backed it. The government chose a weaker word instead. The word they chose is the one that lets all of this carry on. Schoolgirls dragged off buses. Men stabbed outside mosques. A mosque abused in Newham. Shops called criminal enterprises on national television. A stage booked in Leicester. And these things just keep happening to us. It appears. It seems. It looks like. We don't even get to name the thing that is being done to us. Every silence is permission. Every omission is a green light. Every word they refuse is cover for the next attack. There are two types of racism in the west: the kind that’s considered acceptable in polite liberal society, and the kind that’s widely frowned upon. The acceptable type of racism is the kind which considers it fine and normal to drop bombs on Muslim families overseas. The kind which sees starvation sanctions as a minor issue whose pros and cons are assessed solely on the basis of whether they will be successful or unsuccessful in achieving regime change. The kind which views imperialist extraction from the global south as the natural order of the world, with centrists and progressives squabbling only about how evenly that plunder should be distributed among westerners. The unacceptable type of racism is the kind which affects other westerners. The kind whose consequences western liberals have to see. If a white woman calls the police on a black man minding his own business in the park, western liberals will send her viral on social media, and she will be unwelcome in polite society until the heat dies down. If a celebrity is caught on tape uttering an ethnic slur, they’ll be unpopular for a while, and will be considered a liability by sponsors and film studios. This is the wrong kind of racism. That’s what you’re seeing whenever the western press completely ignores a dozen Palestinians getting killed by western-made munitions on the same day the entire news media focuses on some allegation of “antisemitism” with no material consequences other than some western Jews feeling emotionally upset. The former is the right kind of racism, while the latter is the wrong kind. One is seen as acceptable and normal, while the other is a horrifying abuse. Western racism falls into two distinct categories because our entire civilization is built upon the polite kind, whereas the impolite kind is useful to the powerful only as a wedge issue to keep western populations divided against each other. Mainstream western politics is often just a culture war between one major party which embraces both the polite and impolite kinds of racism against another major party which only embraces the polite kind of racism, thereby ensuring that no political energy goes toward ending the polite kind of racism. The polite kind of racism is much more important to the powerful in the 21st century, because it’s an absolutely foundational component to their rule rather than merely a useful tool. Without the imperialist extraction of labor and resources from the global south at extortionate prices, you wouldn’t see sprawling megacorporations turning millionaires into billionaires and trillionaires who then use their wealth to manipulate western politics to promote their own agendas. Without nonstop military expansionism and the abuses of the western intelligence cartel, the managers of the western empire could not dominate our planet. That’s why every few years westerners get to vote on whether or not to advance the impolite kind of racism in their society, while the polite kind of racism never appears on the ballot. You’re allowed to vote on whether or not your government will become more abusive to immigrants and other marginalized members of your society, but you’re never allowed to vote on whether or not war, militarism and imperialist extraction will continue. This expression of racism (or white supremacism, or xenophobia, or western supremacism, or whatever you want to call it) is considered too important to be left to the will of the electorate. And you see this reflected in the consciousness of the western mind. Even relatively aware westerners who would place themselves on the far left of the political spectrum will often spend a lot more energy on domestic issues than the abuses of the western war machine. Earlier this month the discourse on Left Twitter revolved around whether or not it was a “privileged take” to say that people shouldn’t serve in the US military, the argument being that many US military personnel come from disadvantaged backgrounds. I saw a lot of US progressives who furiously disparage ICE agents and American cops falling all over themselves to defend those who enlist in the US war machine, which is quantifiably far more murderous and oppressive than domestic American law enforcement. The only way to see things this way would be to view those who live in the global south as less human than people who live in the United States. That’s the only way it could possibly make sense in your mind to see the abuses of your country’s domestic police forces as worse than the demonstrably more egregious abuses of the US war machine. You’d have to view a school full of Iranian children being blown up by the US Navy as less worthy of attention and opposition than an American being beaten by a police officer in the United States. You’d have to assume those Iranian lives don’t matter. And those are some of the more awake members of western society. Most westerners are a lot less conscious and compassionate than that. Westerners live in the most savage and murderous civilization on earth. We don’t feel like we are savage and murderous because we outsource most of our violence and slavery to overseas operations, but that’s what we are. We go about our lives consuming products made by wage slaves under an oppression machine that is defended through constant mass military slaughter, and then we wag our fingers at a viral video of some schizophrenic saying racist things in order to feel nice feelings about ourselves. That’s what western life is, right there. We’ve got a lot of growing up to do. We are in need of drastic, revolutionary change, more extensive than probably most of us can imagine at this point in time. We’ve got a long, long way to go, and a whole, whole lot of wrongs we need to make right around the world.
