@cereal_truther @ShannonJoyRadio This is the same flaw from the Covid Phase III trials where they didn't test for infection unless symptoms were presenting. They only tested for SARS-Cov-2 if they had COVID-19 symptoms. They presumed symptoms were a proxy for infection.

@cereal_truther @ShannonJoyRadio The unvaccinated have weighed the risks/benefits and chosen not to get it so be it. But blaming them for the outbreaks and infections is misleading. And forcing or coercing them to get vaccinated will actually backfire because it will lose more trust not build it.

@cereal_truther @ShannonJoyRadio I'm talking about infections and transmissions. You're talking about savorily of symptoms and risks while infected. But trying to use symptom data as a poxy for infection an herd immunity is inaccurate and misleading.

@bluerailff @BobLonsberry It wouldn't take much for the general population to fall below the line in immunity to the point that it breaks herd immunity. From what I can tell it might start appearing as the vaccine immune hits 40-60 years which is where we are right now.

@cereal_truther @ShannonJoyRadio Treating the groups so differently is going to make it difficult to trace subclinical or asymptomatic infections in the vaccination population. They don't think it happens so they don't look which confirms their bias that its only happening in the unvaccinated. Bad data in/out.

@cereal_truther @ShannonJoyRadio Right now I believe four states do not respect religious exemption. So the Amish are being sued for not adhering to those mandates here in NY. If data is masking cases in the vaccinated then it could/will be used to present a false picture of the current situation.

Especially as the natural immune begin to age out and the general population is replaced with vaccinated individuals last vaccinated as a child or teen. pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12…

@rthrash3 I share a similar frustration around efficacy as the Covid trials were designed to monitor symptom based infections but didn't regularly test for asymptomatic background infections in their trials. So we'll struggle to properly understand infection/transmission efficacy.

@rthrash3 This leaves us largely arguing about hypothesis whether we're aware of that or not even on the pro vaccine side. Even retrospective studies struggle to rule out confounding or lurking variables.

@BobLonsberry Why not phone everyone? Won’t this find more cases in the vaccinated? Won’t this hide asymptomatic or low symptom cases in the vaccinated? Monitoring differently based on V status will bias any and all public data.

@BobLonsberry I also emailed Mike Sayer program manager at Monroe’s Office of Public Health and he said in response to hospital exposers they follow up with unvaccinated/unknown via phone but use postal mail to tell vaccinated individuals they were potentially exposed.
