@altNOAA @MonkyChi83 If AI model predictions end up being more accurate for basic weather forecasting (I'm not talking about outliers) then wouldn't it be better for the consumers of that information to have the most accurate forecasts? Leave the unique scenarios and special forecasts to humans?

@MonkyChi83 @altNOAA Don't insinuate I'm somehow destroying her dreams, I'm a realist and will position my kids to leverage the future, not some archaic past. You're naive if you think in 20 years AI won't take over all weather forecasting/predictions. That means the focus is on telling a story

@altNOAA I would think there would be a temporal version of Newton's 1st law that plays a role in this. Like jumping on a moving train - your temporal momentum keeps you moving in tandem with space (the train), while the time moves forward and back (your jump)

@yashar Even more crazy is that because our solar system moves around so much we were 1/3 of the way on the other side of the galaxy when it happened! The when the dinosaurs started they were on the complete opposite side of the galaxy 😁
