Hull KR are in a very similar position to Manchester United at the end of Sir Alex Ferguson’s reign. Willie Peters has prioritised protecting his own legacy over planning for the club’s future. Recruitment has been focused on winning now rather than preparing for the next era.

I think 2026 is now a write of for Hull KR, they may not even make the play offs. There’s a select few who haven’t looked arsed this year, and I don’t even need to name them. It’s clear to see.

I think a handful of the Hull KR squad going out on the lash in Hull City Centre after their worst performance of the Willie Peters era shows exactly where the mentality is at the minute. Vegas was obviously worse but Wakefield weren’t actually that good yesterday.
