Perplexity lied about my business and it showed me why AI-powered search is so destructive. We searched "Lazy AI” on Perplexity. For context: @getLazyAI was the first to market full-stack AI engineer and after putting it off for months, we were prepping for a Product Hunt launch in June of last year. Just for fun, we searched "Lazy AI" on Perplexity during one of our daily standups. But what we saw next was the opposite of fun... 🧵

After 13 years of git I just now discovered `git diff --color-moved` — It detects and displays chunks that have moved, which is pretty common, in my experience. I find it really useful to be able to separate what has changed from what just moved around when reviewing some code.

Over time, the #python world has shown increasing preference for double quotes: "hello" versus 'hello'. Perhaps, this is due to the persistent influence of JSON, PyCharm, Black, and plain English. In contrast, the interpreter itself prefers single quotes: >>> "hello" 'hello'

On GitHub, I wish you could review parts of the code that haven't changed. Maybe this was an intentional product choice, the idea being that unchanged lines aren't relevant to the PR. But sometimes they are relevant precisely because they *should* have changed.
