@CathyG_braves Murphy will be catcher three so Farmer will go. Hicklen - as much as I like him, goes back down with Acuna. If they get a bat at the deadline who can DH, it gets interesting. Yaz pushes Dubon back to short and Jarvis down. Eli and Dom are at risk for post deadline spots.

@CWoodDuckFish @SportsTalkATL (1) It’s always they tried. They all try. Some find a way to make it happen. They could have signed Fried like they did the others early on. That said - the results speak for themselves. The last few years have had predictable outcomes. We have a top 5-10 payroll.

@CWoodDuckFish @SportsTalkATL That’s right… but the best GMs find a way to get it done. Three names - stating the obvious here but they could have kept Fried by locking him a year or two before free agency. They could have matched up with the Cardinals for Sonny Gray. And as a wild card, Soroka.

@CWoodDuckFish @SportsTalkATL No issues with what he did at shortstop. Nobody saw Kim’s regression coming. Yaz wasn’t a bad signing. Just hasn’t performed. But the pitching - lots of ways he could have addressed - be it FA or trades. And he didn’t.
