@British_Airways absolute shambles of a situation at Terminal 5 for lost luggage. Only way to find your luggage is by picking up a phone on the wall, and waiting for someone to answer. Spent 40 minutes just trying to get someone to pick up the line and no one can help. Pathetic

@British_Airways As I said above, it wont let me create a ticket because my booking reference never flew. My flight was delayed 24 hours so I could no longer fly (as I had missed the event I was traveling for), so I cancelled the flight and they offloaded my bag. Can you do this manually for me?

@British_Airways Yes they can’t help - they say there is only one person that handles the baggage enquiries at T5. It’s outrageous. Further I can’t request my baggage online as I never ended up flying (delayed by 24 hours - my baggage was offloaded as I missed the event I was flying for). Help?

@BrentLindeque Suppose it’s difficult to say, but there is an increasing amount of news / talk in the media about it over here, as last week Sajid Javid (health minister) said that as the new variant becomes dominant in the Uk, the red list would not make sense. I am hopeful

Given that Omicron is clearly everywhere in UK now, the ongoing punishment of South Africa in terms of red list travel restrictions seems pointless & particularly unfair given it was their brilliant scientists who first uncovered this variant for the world. Sort it @grantshapps

SARS-CoV-2 variants over time in South Africa - Beta has not been detected for months, Delta, the same as the U.K. and everywhere in the world, dominates >99%. C.1.2 has been 'extinguished. Variants are not related to the science related to the travel ban from the U.K.

@PPaulCharles @SimonCalder @YourTravelRadio @ThePCAgency Why is SA still red, when (i) cases are low and decreasing (ii) Beta variant has been almost completely eradicated by Delta (iii) SA has great genomic sequencing capabilities. Decision seems absolutely ridiculous and the government should be transparent with the criteria used.
