I feel increasingly drawn to the Savior’s love and the never-ending blessings promised us through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. When I think of the suffering I have personally seen as I have traveled throughout much of the world in my calling as an Apostle—which is so infinitesimally small compared with all those who have or will ever walk the earth—I cannot, with any words I know, describe the feelings in my heart for what must have occurred in the heart and mind and body and soul of the Savior in His sacred moments of all-encompassing suffering for the sins and pain of all humanity. He did not shield us from the difficult experiences of life that bring immeasurable pain, but He protected us from everlasting suffering and estrangement from Heavenly Father and allowed us, through His all-encompassing suffering, to have the blessing of perfect joy and eternal happiness in the presence of God. The human mind can scarcely begin to comprehend how completely the destiny of mankind changed because of what happened in Gethsemane, on the cross, and at the tomb.

Oh I love this! Our youngest just turned 18 a few months ago. But he will be a senior in high school this coming year. He is driving an older car that used to belong to one of his sisters. And he was telling me this morning how terrible the gas mileage is. I just sat and listened to him. I swear I wanted to laugh, but I held my composure very well. . He thinks buying a truck is gonna get better gas mileage than a little Saturn. 😆 oh to be young. Lol

😊 I always have. I had a visiting teacher in 1996 change the way I minister. I had had a miscarriage and the relief society had scheduled meals to come in for dinner. Of course I was feeling terrible, very emotional and depressed. Then my visiting teacher showed up with a subway sandwich, a drink, and chips for lunch. It wasn’t asked of her, I wasn’t expecting her, but that simple act of kindness snapped me out of whatever it was that I was feeling! From that day, I vowed that I would try to be the best person I could to minister to those who are in need. God sees us and answers our prayers. Sometimes it’s just through another person.

For generations, the doors of the Salt Lake Temple have represented faith, hope, belonging and promises to Jesus Christ. Today, the restored and reinforced doors of the Salt Lake Temple were officially reinstalled. “This really serves as that key milestone that this temple is going to be completed; we’re going to have it open and then rededicated. Here's the recipe! It seems simple, and it is, but it turns out perfectly EVERY time. I will often do M&Ms instead of chocolate chips. 1 c. butter 1 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. granulated sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 3 c. flour Chocolate chips/M&Ms
