El activista ambiental y periodista independiente #AlexSerna fue asesinado en Petatlán, Costa Grande de Guerrero. Su cuerpo, que estuvo 14 días en la morgue de Zihuatanejo, fue reconocido por su familia. Secuestrado el 22 de junio por un comando armado, Serna era conocido por denunciar el ecocidio cometido por empresas y gobiernos. Días antes de su desaparición, había señalado afectaciones ambientales en La Saladita, responsabilizando a una empresa deshidratadora de mango con un propietario extranjero sin permisos.
