@Colteastwood I wonder if this is one of the games that got killed by social media, poor previews, or bad marketing? Guardians of the Galaxy is a fun game and I thoroughly enjoyed it when I bought it on sale for $30.

Here's my 2 cents on Twitter Blue. It violates marketing rule #1: sell benefits, not features! Twitter is doing it wrong. It should focus on the benefits of your product to potential customers. The key is what it can do for your customer in term of making their lives better.

The amusing thing about the $20 for verified arguments is how it shows the mess of the business model Twitter has. There’s a social media site that charges ~$59/month for a gold badge, and up to $9,000/year for power users and few ever complain. That site is called LinkedIn.

I found it interesting that the new Netflix ad tier is $6.99 and only up to 720P. In their data & research, it must show that they have more mobile viewers, thus 720P is the good balance between price & performance.

As a hiring manager, I often make tradeoffs across several criteria: 1) time horizon: "for this moment" vs long-term 2) team composition: does this person fill a gap or are they just a better version of what we already have? People tetris can be really fun! I love org design.

Forget 10x engineers, go for 10x teams. This paper analyzes 200k teams ranging from sports to politics, and finds that performance follows a power law 70% of the time. So there are a lot of star teams & those teams perform much better than average ones. pubsonline.informs.org/doi/10.1287/or…
