NEWS: A 26-year-old LMPD Officer Nicholas Wilt is clinging to life, having undergone brain surgery after being struck in the head by a bullet in the Louisville, KY mass shooting earlier today. Officer Wilt graduated the police academy two weeks ago. There is no question that the proliferation of assault weapons makes the jobs of police officers increasingly dangerous. If Republicans truly believe in "Back the Blue," why won't they support banning assault weapons? ANSWER: Back the Blue is only a slogan they don't believe in. All they believe in are their NRA donations.

It never gets easier to watch the GOP continue to offer no solutions to gun violence other than 'thoughts and prayers." The only way to make a change is to do so at the voting booth.
