The fact that they managed to overtake Polymarket in open interests with such a poor UX is truly amazing to me. On top of that they require full KYC, whereas Polymarket doesn't. That's right, except PoS doesn't require its solo stakers to run a small datacenter at home, whereas PoW solo miners need to. For this reason censorship resistance is much higher on PoS, especially in the long term. In the near future you'll be able to run an ethereum node on your phone, PoW prevents that to happen. PoW should really be renamed as PoUW: Proof of Useless Work

Who cares about the yield when your chain is centralized.

Counterintuitively, it is precisely because Stani sells a Defi product that we shouldn't listen to him too much. Same goes with Lido. Why? Sometimes there is no such thing as a "bear" or "bull" market. When the underlying asset you're holding has low intrinsic value, you'll call it a bear market when it's really just a slow and painful long-term decline with some bumps in price in the mid-term that you'll wrongly identify as the "bull" market coming. "bear" and "bull" markets are made up words by humans, it doesn't apply to any market on earth, some assets are doomed for a permanent decline while others will be in a permanent bull we shouldn't think in black and white terms, the world isn't binary, it's infinitely complex

If it were up to the miners, Ethereum would have never migrated from PoW to PoS. That alone is evidence enough to show that the network's long-term success is not always aligned with validators' interests. Keep that in mind when evaluating EIP-8363.

The Coldcard hack is insanely bullish Ethereum because it proves that you can't have a blockchain without smart contracts. Because of its simplicity, each Bitcoin wallet has to be tied to a seed phrase, which is itself tied to an unverifiable, unauditable source of randomness. Ethereum however has public smart contracts, and smart wallets like @safe. With a 2/3 Safe multisig wallet, even if Ledger somehow leaks your private key, the attacker won't be able to do anything with it because it also needs to hack your second signer which can be Trezor, Rabby, or something else. On Ethereum, hacking one wallet provider isn't enough to access your assets, you need to hack at least 2 wallet providers at the same time. Almost impossible. On Bitcoin, hack one wallet provider and +$100M are gone in minutes. Self-custody just doesn't work properly without smart contracts. It's unfortunate but that's the way it is. You are not bearish enough on Bitcoin.
