the sensitive young man drinks coffee over monster.
ray peat drank 50 cups a day before he took a thyroid supplement. that's how crazy it works for your metabolic rate.
it raises metabolic rate, lowers TSH, increases T4 and T3, increases respiration and is dopaminergic, anti-serotonergic, anti-estrogenic and amazing for the liver.
what's also interesting is that it increases the absorption and uptake in cells of nearly any substance taken with it.
this is why 1970's european bodybuilders got the same steroid effect from 2-5x less drug if they took it with coffee.
monster on the other hand?
Carbonated Water, Sucrose, Glucose Syrup, Acid (Citric Acid), Flavourings, Taurine (0.4%), Acidity Regulator (Sodium Citrates), Panax Ginseng Root Extract (0.08%), L-Carnitine L-Tartrate (0.04%), Preservatives (Sorbic Acid, Benzoic Acid), Caffeine (0.03%), Colour (Anthocyanins), Vitamins (B3, B6, B2, B12), Sweetener (Sucralose), Sodium Chloride, D-Glucuronolactone, Guarana Seed Extract (0.002%), Inositol, Maltodextrin
you're just asking for a fucked up gut at that point. make the switch.
drink coffee. with milk and sugar. never black. 3-5 cups daily. respect the bean.
Ray Peat on DHT:
"It's a major brain hormone that you're messing with when you try to stop the production of DHT."
this is why everyone on finasteride feels depressed, anxious, socially awkward, has worse memory and a lower stress tolerance
in DHT and 5 alpha androstanediol we trust
winning has way more of an effect on testosterone than you'd think.
a study measured men's testosterone before and after they watched their team play.
fans of the winning team? it went up.
fans of the losing team? it dropped.
not one of them played a minute.
your body reads the wins and losses around you as your own.
so think about the losing you consume all day.
friends who just lose & complain. negative content making you feel worse. stressed family members. black pill content.
none of it is yours, but your body can't tell that.
all of it is slowly rewiring you as a loser, and so as a result your testosterone drops.
if stack your wins, no matter how small. surround yourself with winners. grinders. hype music. optimistic content?
your testosterone will increase.

obviously you will achieve all your goals, but don’t always expect them to take so long to achieve.
patience is the biggest factor, but thinking “i’m really gonna have this in 6 months/1 year/3 years” is the wrong thinking.
it could literally happen overnight. the universe works in mysterious ways.
you probably think it wouldn’t be possible to achieve xyz overnight, but you need to remember that the universe is in control.
and the universe can make anything happen at any given time. doesn’t matter how possible you think it is.
you could be living the life you thought you’d be living in a few years from now, in literally a week. two weeks. a month.
you never know when or how everything is gonna happen, so don’t put a fake time on it.
live in the moment, be grateful it’s already yours, take every day as it comes and it will surprise you when you least expect it
become conscious of all your thoughts about yourself
most guys walk through life without realising the negative thoughts they have about themselves all the time
once you become aware, you can quickly ignore them and change them to the positive opposite.
for example, if you catch yourself thinking “nah, i’m not made for this” just answer back with “of course i fucking am, i’m literally the goat”
the more you catch these thoughts and fix them, the quicker your identity will change.
stop checking your results so much
refreshing after posting to see the views go up, checking emails every hour to see if you got a sale yet
just let go, what is so beneficial about checking it constantly?
what you want is what you’re gonna get, but not until you are patient enough to actually let it happen
you don’t plant a seed and keep digging it up to see if it’s grown yet, do you?
no. you get out of it’s way, forget about it and let it grow.
how do you know who you want to become?
go into a quiet room, grab a pen and paper then start writing roughly about who you would like to be 10 years from now.
once you have a rough idea, get specific.
-what haircut? facial hair?
-what physique?
-does he drive? what car?
-what type of clothes?
-where does he live?
-how does he act?
-what does his day look like?
-how does he feel?
-what does he think about?
-what does he like doing?
-how much money does he make?
the more specific, the better it is.
i have pages and pages worth of this
you first have to have the balls to start moving like the guy you want to become.
dressing like him, spending like him, acting like him, speaking like him.
most guys are too scared. scared of the unknown. scared if they fail. scared of doing everything for no reason.
thing is,
just set aside some time to be without any distractions with a pen and paper
think about your future and who you’d like to be, say 10 years from now.
start roughly, then get into specifics. what would his day look like? how would he treat others? how would he behave? what would he look like?
and i mean get really specific, down to the haircut, the brands you wear, the exact watch, car, income, physique, everything about you.
dont stop until you have the most detailed idea of who you want to be
you first have to have the balls to start moving like the guy you want to become.
dressing like him, spending like him, acting like him, speaking like him.
most guys are too scared. scared of the unknown. scared if they fail. scared of doing everything for no reason.
thing is, it will work out.
but required of you is the faith before the results.
once you can fully surrender yourself into assuming who you want to be. you will become him. it’s that simple.
you have one foot into a new identity, but your other foot is still in your old one.
put both feet in. just let everything go for once and say “fuck it”
what is the worst that could happen?
walk in blindly. it’s hard, but you’ll walk out on the other side as the guy you’ve always wanted to be.
when something good/lucky happens to you and you feel like you didn't deserve it or it doesn't feel right you're just fucking yourself over
any time something good happens you need to think "yeah, good things happen to me. this is normal to me"
i can't tell you how many times in the past i've hit a milestone or goal, and thought "why me?" "do i deserve this?"
i always felt like it just wasn't who i was. but that's completely untrue and it was fully an identity problem
the more you act like you don't deserve whatever good things happen, the less they will appear.
the more you act like you are the guy who is laughably lucky and just can't stop winning, the more good things that will happen
you just gotta first create that positive loop.
you win/get lucky, you realise "oh shit i'm actually a lucky person", then it builds that identity and more lucky things will happen
you deserve everything you want. good things happen because you deserve them. realise this.
your life will change when you realise it’s not about chasing metrics like good relationships, successful careers, being right.
it is instead about the full range of the human experience. experiencing everything life has to offer.
even the painful stuff. heartbreak. insecurity. estrangement. failure.
these things don’t mean your life went wrong. they mean you got to live the human experience.
and that’s all that matters.
dying people in their last moments feel a strong wave of relief and ecstasy. why?
because they realise their life was perfect.
not because of how well it went. but because they felt everything.
pretty cool how you can visualise talking to a friend in the future about how you manifested the life you’re in.
you’re visualising. your friend’s beside you and you say it.
‘i manifested this. i visualised this exact moment of me talking to you about how i hit this goal, ages ago.’
then it materialises into reality. it always does. and it hits you mid sentence.
this conversation was in the visualisation. you’re saying words you already said in your head months ago.
you’re inside the scene.
the past version of you is watching this through your eyes right now.
that’s who you were being when you visualised. him. this you.
you thought you were imagining the future. you were remembering it early.
the conversation happened before it happened.
and it goes deeper. you can visualise the conversation being about itself.
you’re telling your friend, ‘i hit the goal because i visualised us having this conversation. this one. the one we’re in rn’
the talk you’re having is the method that caused the thing you’re talking about.
and that moment will come. one day you’ll just be there with your friend. everything has worked out.
you tell them ‘yeah i hit x goal, i actually did it by visualising me telling you that i manifested the goal by us having a conversation where i told you i hit it”
and that’s the exact fucking conversation you’re having in that moment.
you won’t even be surprised. the surprise already happened, you basically already time travelled into the future. you went there early.
and that’s why it exists. the only reason that future is there is because you went there in the first place.
by the time reality catches up all that’s left is recognition. a ‘there it is.’
your friend will think you’re describing something crazy.
but you’ll know. you’ll know the only reason this conversation is happening is because it is true. because it isn’t crazy.
it was done the day you saw it. reality just needed to catch up.
which means right now, reading this, some future version of you is already standing in a moment you haven’t built yet.
he’s waiting on you to come make it. to go into the future and make it real.
you planted a moment in the future and your whole life is just the walk back to it.
you didn’t predict the future. the future is the past. you went there early. and that’s why it exists.
at the end of the day we are all alchemists. we have all been blessed with the ability to create and tweak our own realities. life is not happening to you, it’s happening from you. everything that happens is a reflection of your internal state. use it to your advantage. you’ve been given the greatest gift from God, and aren’t using it? it’s stupid.
you can visualise anything and make it happen. you can become anyone you want. you are a shapeshifter. life begins when you realise this and start to use it to mould yourself into the version you’ve always dreamt of being.
