@thedankoe Energy over expertise is the part people skip. When the work doesn't drain you, skill compounds fast, so "am I good enough" sorts itself out. The real moat is just still being interested long after everyone else quit.

@thejustinwelsh The ugly version also teaches you what the polished one actually needs. Half the polish you plan upfront turns out to be stuff nobody wanted. You can't think your way to that, you have to ship and watch.
@dickiebush The speed is the whole point. Most people burn hours re-litigating every decision from zero. Three fixed filters means you're not deciding anymore, you're just checking. Fast without being reckless.
@ItsKieranDrew The "too much flexing status" line nails it — a place built around being seen, not lived in. Give me actual seasons and less to prove.
@dickiebush Zone 2 + admin is a cheat code — brain's still online but you're not chained to the desk. I batch all the boring tasks the same way and step off with the same momentum.
@thejustinwelsh The "one exercise + one clear output per capacity" structure is the whole reason this actually gets finished. Most free guides die as information nobody acts on. Same rule in short-form — a clip only lands when every line does one job.
@ItsKieranDrew The reframe people miss: he didn't get luckier on attempt 31, he got better on every rejection. Same with content — the first 30 posts are tuition. Most quit around post 9.
@dickiebush This is also the best hook test for video. "Here's an idea" gets scrolled past. "Here's the problem you're stuck on" stops the thumb. Lead with the problem, not the topic.
@thejustinwelsh Same trap in short-form. Everyone hunts the perfect hook formula — but the "secret" is usually just cutting the 8 boring seconds before the point. Unglamorous, but it's the whole game.
