I think every [young] person should have a very clear idea of who they want to be. The life they want to live. Pick a timeframe. 2 years. 5 years. Who do you want to be at 25? 30? 35? 40? Like with terrifying specificity. What sports do you play? Where do you work? What’s your salary? Where do you live? What’s your week like? Who’s still around you? What’s your networth? What industry do you want to be in? What things do you no longer do? I’ve seen so many people fumble opportunities because they couldn’t realize fast enough that they were at the doorway for the life they wanted, because they couldn’t articulate the life they wanted. Write it down, talk about it. with friends. sometimes even with enemies. be loud, and be intentional. I can’t count how many times I’ve been called to do something because a friend remembered that “oh, you said it’d be cool if you worked with an event/company/creative, so this thing came up and I thought of you”. You don’t have the life you want, because you don’t even know what it is yet.

About 50 persons on earth cannot feel pain. 50 (un)lucky people Even if you take a long nail & slowly pound it into their head with a hammer. They would not feel anything. It is called Congenital insensitivity to pain (CIP) & this people are at risk to die because they don’t know when to stop taking a stimulus that could kill them. Imagine the extreme (hard) luck it takes to have such health condition. Just 50 persons out of the 7 billion people on earth! Well, that brings me to the scariest Bible verse (in my opinion) - Ecclesiastes 9:11 It reads: “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. It suggests that it is not by your power, that no matter what you do - your outcome will be based entirely on luck. And of course, you’d take that Verse seriously considering it was written by the wisest man in the history of mankind - King Solomon. Here is how the Bible describes him - “Solomon was filled with so much wisdom & Great men and women from many nations came to hear him and test his understanding and knowledge. Solomon also acquired great wealth, and there were said to be no kings in all the earth who could compare to him” Of course - we don’t know how much of this was propaganda by Solomon’s team, but let us stay on track. So, a man this wise saying that your life is basically a toss of a dice is something to be worried about. But then I looked and noticed there are two types of luck 1. Extreme luck - like when someone gets Congenital insensitivity to pain (CIP), or cancer or a hole in the heart or gets on a plane that would crash, or gets born to wealthy parents. These are things mostly beyond anyone’s power to influence & the favorite of lazy people (who want to be walking down the road and $5 million will just fall on their head). In Nigeria it is called Unmerited favor 🙄) Then there is 2. Induced Luck - AKA - merited favor. This is when someone gets into a place or positions themselves to increase their chances of making it. Like rather than wait for a rich wife, dress with show belly to flash your six packs and hang out where the rich converge. Which is basically what most of us are hoping for. 7 in every 10 businesses fail, but you hope to make the cut & win. And it is entirely fine. You can manipulate your luck and when I realized this that Bible verse stopped being so scary. But to increase your chances you have to position - - the right market - the right product - the right connections - the right time And how do you know these? You will know as you gather experience. Your luck increases in the right market as you practice long and hard. Stop waiting around for things to happen to you, get in the ring - that is how you make things happen. But first you must play in the right environment.

I love King Solomon. Great guy. The most famous recorded gift brought to him was by Queen Sheba. 1 Kings 10:1-10 Her gifts included: - 120 talents of gold - Spices in great abundance - Precious stones I won’t get into the other gifts, but let us look at just that 120 talents of gold. For context 1 talent = ~75 pounds = ~34.02 kg (Forget the Math, stay with me buddy. We will be over it soon) So, 120 talents = 120 × 34.02 kg = 4,082.4 kg of gold. That’s about 131,257 troy ounces of gold. As of July 2025, gold is trading at around $2,400 per troy ounce Which means this lady gifted that man 131,257 oz × $2,400 worth of gold. Which is exactly: $315,016,800 USD in today’s dollars. She came to see him, and came with with $315,016,800 USD BROOOOOO! Then when it comes to the Spices, the bible says: “Never again did such an abundance of spices come in as those the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.” (1 Kings 10:10) …remember, Solomon did not ask for wealth…he asked God for wisdom, and then the wealth came. FREELY. There are bouts of wisdom that when they are opened up to you, all the wealth you seek will come onto you…
