Every coach has a story. This is part of mine. Before I became a coach, mentor, founder, and recruiter, I was simply a football player chasing a dream. The lessons I learned as a fullback and linebacker—discipline, sacrifice, accountability, and perseverance—still guide me today.

Before There Was Starts Up Front, There Was a Purpose. Everyone sees the camps, the recruiting board, the athletes, and the opportunities today. What many don’t know is that my passion was born over two decades ago. In 2001, while pursuing my football dreams, I was also raising a family and helping care for my younger brothers after the loss of their mother. Football wasn’t just a sport—it became a vehicle to teach discipline, responsibility, sacrifice, and hope. That experience changed my life. It taught me that success isn’t measured only by championships or scholarships. It’s measured by the lives you impact and the opportunities you create for others. Today, that same purpose lives through the Starts Up Front National & Global Recruiting Board. Every camp, every athlete evaluation, every conversation with a parent, and every opportunity we create is driven by one mission: To help young people use football as a pathway to education, leadership, and a brighter future.
