Trump has a narrative that immigrants and Hollywood cultural elites are fucking you over and ruining the country. Democrats have zero narrative. The reality is that corporations and billionaires have bought our government to represent them and not you. That's who's screwing you over and if democrats don't say this explicitly they will continue to lose.

My office secured $2 billion from crypto platform @GenesisTrading for lying and cheating investors. This is the largest settlement against a crypto company in New York history. That money will go back to defrauded investors, and Genesis is also banned from operating in New York.

Earn Update: Today, we are pleased to announce that we have finally reached a settlement in principle with Genesis and other creditors in the Genesis Bankruptcy that will, if approved by the Bankruptcy Court, result in all Earn users receiving 100% of their digital assets back in kind. And it means that you will receive any and all appreciation of your assets since you lent them into the Earn program. 19/ This story is part of a much bigger fraud that significantly affected markets in 2022. It's a story every bit as big and important as Sam Bankman-Fried's fraud. Regulators and law enforcement need to step in to unravel the mess that has been created by @BarrySilbert and DCG.

5/ At about the same time as this act of financial chicanery was taking place, DCG began draining the remaining capital out of Genesis. It took out a massive loan of 18,697 Bitcoins from Genesis, knowing full well its child company was insolvent.

1/ On January 5th, 2024, @DCGco (and @BarrySilbert) triumphantly announced it had *finally* paid off a loan due in May 2023 to its child company Genesis (now in bankruptcy). This announcement follows a pattern of deception used by Barry and DCG for over a year. Thread time 🧵
