So pumped to have Trevor on the team! He's already been churning out great cookbooks on how to use @hatchet_dev to write a support agent, send a welcome e-mail, build a PDF processing pipeline, and more.
Check them out: docs.hatchet.run/cookbooks
I've very excited to welcome Trevor Wilson to the @hatchet_dev team! Trevor joins us full-time from Edmonton, Canada and will lead our dev experience initiatives.
We first encountered Trevor earlier this year, he was actively contributing to our OSS repo and blasting through

Hatchet v0.90.13 is out and it's a meaty one! 🪓🥩
➡️ Faster run assignment under load
➡️ 42m30s durations parse fully now
➡️ Sturdier durable execution
➡️ New on Cloud: self-serve Prometheus metrics + audit logs
Components attach to the loop one at a time:
• durable execution so a crash doesn't lose an hour of work ( @hatchet_dev fits well in Go)
• agent memory so the model gets the right slice of context for each turn
A production agent is a long-running, concurrent, I/O-bound process that mostly waits on a model, a tool, or a human.
That shape fits Go better than the language most agent tutorials assume.
Why a lot of teams write the agent itself in Go 🧵
Rest easy with durable sleep. 🛏️💤
Durable tasks can sleep for either a specified period of time or until a provided time, pausing task execution without consuming resources.
While the task sleeps, it can be evicted to free the worker slot. And unlike language-level sleep, durable sleep survives restarts, so you can rely on your retry logic and delayed workflows.

We’ve launched two new self-service regions on Hatchet Cloud: Ireland 🇮🇪🇪🇺 aws-eu-west-1 and North Virginia 🇺🇸 aws-us-east-1 x.com/hatchet_dev/st…
As a new member of the team in the EU, I’m especially excited that we are expanding in Europe, and that I got to help build this. Our European customers asked for something more local and closer to their workloads. Now we have a good option for them. “Boring infra” that “just works” is super fun to work on.
Oh, and @meganeoleary convinced me to record a funny vid to celebrate this. Let me know if you like it 🍇
Say Sláinte 🇮🇪 Bonjour 🇫🇷 Hola 🇪🇸 Hej 🇸🇪 Hallo 🇩🇪 to Hatchet EU! 🌍 We're now available in eu-west-1.

Did you ever hear the one about three workers who walk into an S3 bucket? They all processed the same object. 🥁 Ba dum tss.
(That's a really bad joke and also a bad thing that happens without concurrency control. We can't fix our sense of humor but we can help with the second part.)
