Across the Muslim world, millions of girls are still married before they reach adulthood. This is not merely a cultural issue. It does not happen simply because of traditions. This violent, misogynistic practice is rooted in religion, reinforced by law, and defended as obedience to God and the example of Mohammad. While activists risk imprisonment, persecution, and even death to challenge these laws in Muslim countries, countless girls continue to lose their childhoods, their education, their health, and often their lives because child marriage is enshrined in Islam.

Nearly 5,000 of those were serious or organized crime related. By 2024 that number jumped to over 13,000 criminal charges against Indian student visa holders. In 2016 it was 117. That doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when a government treats immigration like a slogan instead of a responsibility. This is the Trudeau legacy. I must confess in all honesty that, as a Canadian conservative, I am done with the relentless, tax payer funded anti-conservative propaganda coming out of public (CBC) and most publicly funded Canadian media. This silly cartoon from @theomoudakis is simply yet another example. Of course, I believe in freedom of speech but I certainly don't believe that my tax money should fund propaganda that is divisive and delusional. That's not free speech: its subsidized propaganda. If media folks like @acoyne are concerned that conservatives may be becoming less nationalistic in Canada, can there be much question why? I am a Canadian nationalist but wonder why my nation, my national history, one of the mainstream political traditions of my land, etc... must be relentlessly attacked by public funded media? How is this uniting us?
