I suddenly have a lot more faith in @moonbitlang. I used to think programming languages would become frozen in the AI era, with little room left for new ones. Now I’m starting to think the opposite may be true. As coding becomes cheaper, expressing and delivering ideas matters more than ever—which may create even more opportunities for new languages.

Recent updates - Made Codex my daily driver after GPT-5.6. Spent $2,864.21 on tokens on July 11. Pray that token resets become a trend. - Bought Grok Build and started trying it after Grok 4.5. - Only use Fable for things I really don’t want to mess up. - Iterating on github.com/hyf0/project-c…. My day-to-day work is now built around `/goal` and `/loop`, together with PCR. - Building a JS/TS-only diff tool that understands code semantics. - I still find that AI can’t just do design work without a proper harness, so github.com/tw93/Kami is the most impressive project I came across this week.

Vite is now well past the 20k issue mark, yet #5142 — an almost five-year-old issue about chunks running in the wrong order — is still open. I'm happy to share that we're finally making progress on it. Preserving execution order across ESM chunks has long been one of Rollup's hard problems. With Rolldown, we now have the foundation to tackle it properly. Today, you can already manually enable Rolldown's strictExecutionOrder in Vite as a workaround. But we're pushing this further: redesigning the implementation around zero-cost abstractions — or more precisely, paying only for the ordering guarantees your bundle actually needs.
