Some stats the 104 FIFA world cup markets on @Polymarket, courtesy of our friend Fable. 1. As of two days before each match, the eventual result was priced at only ~50% likelihood on average (coin toss) and stayed there until just before kickoff. 2. Draws were quite underpriced (hit 27.9%, priced 23¢), but so were the higher FIFA ranked team (won 61.5%, priced ~60¢) and even market's favored team (won 64.4%, priced ~62¢). 3) Naive strategy betting on every match ending in a draw would've netted a healthy 32% return before slippage. Not bad for a lazy stat arb.
