no slides. no script.
just the @domaprotocol devs in Discord for an hour, taking bug reports, feature ideas, and feedback straight from the community.
a lot of what's shipped already started in rooms like this.
Thursday, July 30. 2PM UTC.
the web just crossed a line most people missed.
bots are now the majority of traffic, and the internet has no idea how to tell an honest one from a hostile one.
the data is almost funny.
an agent that signs its requests and says exactly what it is gets blocked 60 out of 60 times.
the same agent, hiding, gets let through on more than half.
the internet ended up punishing honesty and rewarding disguise. that's not a security model. that's a broken identity layer.
this is the part of @domaprotocol most people scroll past.
domains aren't just tradeable assets. they're the one identity primitive the internet has trusted for 30 years.
every agent that needs to prove what it is or hold a verifiable name has an obvious anchor already sitting there.
DAV contracts audited. limit orders in testing. an MCP server so agents can execute onchain directly.
everyone's building agents. almost nobody's building the identity they'll run on.
Sat down with Doma's tech team: @InderpreetSingh, Kai Sung and Oswaldo Rivas.
DAV contracts passed their audits. Limit orders are in testing. An MCP server is coming so you can wire an LLM into your own trading strategies.

The money that left Bitcoin didn't get scared. It got long AI
That's the read behind the short I'm eyeing on @liquidtrading
June was the worst month on record for spot BTC ETFs, around $4.5B out. Fear index near 20, and everyone calls it capitulation. It's rotation. That cash didn't wait for a bottom, it went into AI names while crypto bled
My call into the July 28-29 Fed meeting:
BTC doesn't reclaim $65k and hold it before then. The Fed already pulled this year's rate cuts, and the marginal dollar found a better home
Fear was never the story. Where the money went is

$200M in volume proves domains are liquid assets, not just static web properties
@domaprotocol just completely rebuilt their app to reflect that
Native onramps, self-serve token launches, custom avatars and direct transfers are finally all in one place
Capital flows where the friction dies
Doma's $175M in Q2 was the easy part.
They spent the quarter building what actually lets this scale past retail traders.
Full in-house domain management, a proper app, Season 1 that keeps people engaged, and the AI chat that removes the usual friction.
None of it was flashy. All of it was necessary.
The real move was Domain Asset Vehicles. Instead of single names, institutions can now tokenize entire portfolios while keeping control over pricing and where the domains live.
They put it on Solana because that's where the settlement and liquidity stack actually works for this.
Q3 is when the first DAV launches there.
That's the shift from people trading individual domain tokens to real portfolios getting onchain liquidity mechanics.
Most tokenized asset plays stay small because they never solve custody and ongoing control at scale.
This one was built the other way.
The volume that matters starts when those portfolios start moving.
