@wartirnes The Taliban had not yet entered Kabul but the Americans shrunk their security perimeter to the Kabul airfield itself. Yes, there were drones being operated out of Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates to cover the retreat from 1000 miles away, but where was the ANA?

@wartirnes 1500 American combat troops had to be sent to Afghanistan just to rescue the Americans trapped in Kabul by the collapse of the ANA. Only the Taliban, keeping to the terms they agreed to, prevented a massacre of Americans in 2020 and 2021
