Still playing the waiting game but at least I got a call from the embassy today. It is not a 100% confirmed but it seems I'll fly out to Frankfurt on Monday. Let's hope it works out.
India is going on lock down for 21 days. Soooo glad I'm in this hostel and soooo glad the german government seems to be the only one actively trying to bring home its citizens. Sadly I apparently won't be able to bring my bike with me. So I'll just have to send it separately.
I arrived in Chennai and am now playing the waiting game. The german government is planning on flying people back home soon so I'm starting to prepare in order to be ready for the call. Tomorrow they'll start in Delhi.
Thanks India. We had a good run. But it has to end. Really, it's me. We can still be friends. I know you're closing the borders so I can't leave but I got a taxi in an hour back to Chennai where I'll wait for my old pal Germany to come pick me up. Hopefully...
@denniskrb_ Jepp. It's really the one fucking week I leave. Not one week after, not one before. Travel ban starts exactly 2 days after I arrive and one week later hotels don't accept me anymore and a few days later the planes will flying. I had just gotten into the groove.
So I've been discharged from the hospital as free to go and corona free. But without papers. They organised for a hotel to accept me for the next 10 days but it seems like it's time to check how to get home. India is planning a test lock down in 2 days. Don't really wanna be…

@wintermancer_yt Testing is only possible in Chennai. So just quarantined for a few days. And then hopefully attested as Corona free so I can book stuff again
Aaaaand I'm in the hospital isolation ward for quarantine. It will last for 3 days because by then I'll have been out of a CoViD-19 area for 14 days. Off to responsible medical bureaucracy adventures!
Currently trying to prove that I am not sick. I called around and it seems some places still accept travelers if they can provide a certificate of some kind. Let's see how that goes.
