Jude in 2024 doesn’t count in my head because I don’t think he really had a great chance to win it, despite being great he wasn’t on the level of Rodri or especially vini! Shame Lampard and Gerrard had Ronaldinho to compete with that year!

Side note, harry kane not winning the UCL or even making the final really lowers his chances especially if (as expected) England don’t win the World Cup, but that guy deserves it man best chance an English player has had to win it since Gerrard/Lampard in 05 or Owen’s win in 01

Ballon d’Or should remove journalists as the voters and just have professional players and coaches as the voters…. Not a popularity contest, but an award for the greatest player on earth voted for by those who understand the game best! And also, have a separate award for GKs
