@VinceValholla Yea the law is still catching up to AI, but copyright already covers copying, distribution, licensing and derivative rights. Our music was scraped, packaged, host and made available as AI training material without authorization, that’s enough for us to move.

@VinceValholla The people who built these datasets think a blanket CC label covers them but it doesn’t. You can’t license what you never had the right to take. A dataset license may describe how they want people to use their comp, but it doesn’t clear the underlying rights they used to build it

@VinceValholla I found 50+ of our songs in a two datasets. Majors aren’t the only ones who can fight this. They just have more infrastructure. We found the exact dataset, read the paper, mapped the responsible chain and now we know where to hit from the top down.
