Minister Vijlbrief over de stakingen. Hij verandert niks en hoopt dat vakbonden inmiddels 'beter hebben nagedacht' en alsnog ingaan op 'heel royale aanbod' van kabinet. Maar dit verhaal zal bij @FNV @cnv @hansspekman etc vast niet met gejuich worden ontvangen.
Na een week vol vakbondsacties was FNV-voorzitter Hans Spekman te gast op de partijraad van de SP. We bespraken de bezuinigingen van het kabinet Jetten op de sociale zekerheid. En nog belangrijker: Onze plannen om deze te stoppen. Stop de afbraak!

My friend with ME who lives in a nursing home recently divorced her husband and had to give up custody of her kids as well. She’s very severe and been sick for many years. She’s missing seeing her kids grow up. There are no limits how cruel this disease is. And nobody gives af.

🔴Excellent article. This is exactly the problem many of us have been pointing out: Long COVID and ME/CFS are being psychologized again under more modern language. The issue is not whether the nervous system matters, or whether psychological support can help patients cope with a severe disease. The issue is using “mind-body”, “brain retraining” or “functional” narratives as a substitute for biomedical research. Long COVID is a complex biological disease involving immune, autonomic, vascular, metabolic, endocrine and neurological mechanisms. We need more science, not another elegant way of saying “it is all in your head.”

Nu alles erop wijst dat C support *alweer* alle politieke aandacht voor Long Covid/PAIS kaapt, deze tweet nog eens 👇 C support is niet het belangrijkste, grootste, of meest acute probleem. En absoluut niet het verschil tussen creperen en adequate zorg. Creperen gebeurt met of zonder C support en de overheid kiest er actief voor dat perspectief te verergeren.
Geen nazorg zonder echte zorg! Q-Support bestaat 12 jaar, C-Support 6 Na al die tijd heeft de reguliere zorg bar weinig te bieden voor PAIS. Support wegbezuinigen helpt uiteraard niet, maar met zo'n passieve overheid op onderzoek en medische zorg komt het 100% zeker niet goed!
