Already running nodes in crypto?
QRL 2.0 is moving to Proof-of-Stake, with 40,000 QRL required to run a validator.
For those looking to position for a node ahead of mainnet, QRL is also available OTC through DV Chain for larger transactions.

Always have seen pq-crypto as part of the equation.
Web apps aren't secure because of using the latest TLS with the recommended cipher suites, but they'd be considered insecure without TLS.
It's mandatory to have pq-crypto at this point, but it doesn't forgo everything else.
In that sense, QRL is on the right track (biased of course), ie.
- ✅ Strong PQ-Crypto (and not rolling their own, but using vetted crypto).
- ✅ Propensity to spend towards auditors that are the most likely to break things.
- ✅ Very long testnet periods with actual testing with the intent to break.
Only as strong as your weakest link and all that right?

At least 1,200 people died of heatstroke in France last Wednesday, mostly elderly people indoors.
Even crazier, about 70,000 Europeans die from the same every year, akin to a bi-weekly 9/11. Eurobros, please vote for leaders who will let you open your windows and install A/C!
Eight years ago, QRL mainnet launched with a conviction that felt early at the time: quantum resistance belongs at the foundation, not on the roadmap someday.
Since then, QRL has kept doing what secure infrastructure should do: operate, endure, and prove itself over time. Now, as post-quantum standards mature and quantum timelines compress, the industry is catching up to a risk QRL was built around from genesis.
QRL's anniversary is both a milestone and a signal of where quantum-safe infrastructure is headed next.

Being a whale doesn't give an okay to behaviour that's against the Code-of-Conduct, though years ago we did afford a lot of flexibility in that area - if you were a whale. That was wrong. Questions aren't the issue though. As an example, you're critical of the project but never have been banned.
For other things. Financials are handled in accordance of Stiftung regulations. We have a testnet, that you can run, today, for QRL 2.0, that people have built on. There's funding to continue development, and pay for qualified auditors.
POS mainnet ultimately needed something outside of XMSS, ie. Dilithium, which finally went through a multiyear review from NIST until it came out as ML-DSA in ~2024 with plenty of improvements and 'fixes'.
Being post-quantum secure has always been our corner stone. We had a proof-of-stake testnet in 2017 but moved to proof-of-work to achieve that primary objective while more research was necessary for POS.
The POS network is currently under audit. We don't put out dates, but it can be tracked at theqrl.org/roadmap
Anyone banned is not because of questions, but because of threats or other similar behaviour. You're free to come into our community and ask as many questions as you want. Anyone is free to.
The QRL Foundation operates as a Stiftung and its funding is regulated as such (# CHE-229.731.700)
Long road ahead for Ethereum to address the pq threat, without including a multi-year migration of several dependant ecosystems. They're also looking at rolling unique crypto (ie leanXMSS/Sig) while moving fast.
QRL seeks to use extremely well vetted schemes, which takes time.
Finally, the upgrades are different beasts. If you're a project on QRL, you can trust that other projects on QRL are post-quantum secure. The same can't be said for Ethereum until everything is migrated - which can take years after signatures are in.
@dallairedemers ... and migrate*.
Can't be post-quantum ready if your entire address space makes you economically (as related to blockchain) vulnerable.
@FutureDies@chillerid76 Verified ~15 tps on for QRL 2.0, which even half of that is more than enough for a dApp ecosystem unless it were to replace all of Ethereum overnight (historically has run between 10 and 20 tps).
Glorious that it's doing so while being post-quantum secure.
🇫🇷 A GOVERNMENT JUST DECLARED BITCOIN'S ENCRYPTION OBSOLETE
France's cyber agency won't certify any security product without quantum-safe encryption after 2027.
It never mentions crypto. Not once.
But Bitcoin and Ethereum run on the exact algorithm France just rejected.
Elliptic curve cryptography.
The clock on "harvest now, decrypt later" just started ticking louder.
