The way out: every cart total is built from "variant.price" compare-at lives entirely outside that pipeline. Two independent sources. You can add them without double-counting: savings = cart . total_discount + sum((compare_at - price) * qty)

The "total_discount" returns 0, even though the customer has EUR 53,97 in markdown savings in their cart. By design. And it breaks almost every "show total savings" feature request on @Shopify.

Claude Code on desktop now has an in-app browser. Claude can pull up docs, designs, or any other site. It can read, click through, and interact the same way it does with your local dev servers. It's sandboxed and configurable: you choose whether sessions persist.

If a dev's own blog had this gap, check your Shopify store. Themes emit basic Product JSON-LD: name, price, availability. Most stores stop there. Blog articles, FAQs, brand, shipping info: absent unless someone added them on purpose.

I stopped hand-writing code in 2026. Completely. Still programming every day, more hours than ever. Prompts, plans, tearing apart diffs from Claude, Codex, Composer. If that math doesn't work in your head, you're measuring programming in keystrokes. That's the whole problem.
