@LooraKennedy Also private assessments are expensive and i feel that people tend to not go for these unless they strongly feel they meet the criteria for diagnosis

@LooraKennedy Sorry I'm not familiar with any literature on this topic. From my own experience I'd guess the positive rate for adult autism assessments is high. Resources might be unlikely to be allocated to assessment unless there are strong signs in public services.

@LooraKennedy Adult autism assessments are also completed privately by individual psychologists working privately. The Adult Autism Service is a private service based in Dublin that specialises in adult autism assessments.
