Jon, I would rather speak to you privately about this but since you are unwilling to speak on the phone I will gladly settle this once and for all so that we can move on and focus on our mutual goal of justice for John O'Keefe. Here is my timeline with Lucky Loughran: May 2023 - Karen Read informs me that a plow driver named Lucky Loughran met with her PI in February 2022 and said there was no body on Brian Albert's front lawn. She expressed frustration that Lucky didn't show up for a meeting with @BostonDefender on 3/27/22 and wasn't returning their calls. It seemed to her as if this critical witness, who could save her life, had been intimidated into silence. I felt bad for Karen because she is innocent and it seemed like the well connected Albert family was able to scare critical witnesses like Sarah Levinson, Julie Nagel, Steve Scanlon, and Lucky, from giving truthful testimony that could exonerate her and get the police to arrest the killers of John O'Keefe. June 2023 - I reached out Lucky on Facebook and he told me “I’m not answering any questions anymore. I'm sorry if that makes things difficult." I assumed this meant that he was not going to tell the truth about what he saw that night, which made things difficult for Karen Read. This upset me and I made comments on my show where I said his name and suggested that he was covering for the McAlberts because he was scared of them. Hank Brennan has since wrongly interpreted those comments as me intimidating Lucky, which Lucky testified was not intimidation. I regret saying that and have apologized to Lucky publicly and privately for my comments. I also saw that Chris Albert had recently made comments on his page and offered to bring Lucky food after his wife passed away. This angered me because it seemed like Chris was manipulating Lucky into remaining silent about what he saw that night. I included all of this in an article I published on 6/5/23 naming Lucky publicly. June 2023 - I take a trip to Canton to confront Billy Walsh and Michael Trotta about Michael Proctor's report, which quoted Trotta as saying that the Canton DPW (Lucky) didn't plow Fairview Road that night. Trotta made it clear to me that this was inaccurate, and said that he would not reprimand Lucky for telling the truth. August 7, 2023 - Lucky's relative Gina reached out to me and said Lucky was amendable to speaking with me and gave me his phone number. I called Lucky and we spoke for 5 minutes, confirming everything he had told Karen's PI in February 2022. He also told me that he had spoken with the FBI and was told by his bosses at the Canton DPW not to speak with anyone else from the press. For that reason he said that I could report on what he told me, but asked that I not use his name. I told @BostonDefender, KR, LL, and AJ about this and they were excited to hear that Lucky was finally willing to speak with them. I gave them his contact information. August 8, 2023 - I made the editorial decision to include Lucky's name in an article I published that day. I did this because, 1) I had already named Lucky as the plow driver on the 6/5/23 article, 2) the McAlberts and his bosses at the Canton DPW would know it was him that I spoke with, and 3) when he testified everyone was going to know who he was anyway. Lucky called me very upset because his name was out there and said he was scared he was gonna be fired. To help him out as best I could I went on my show that night and reported that Lucky was being threatened and that if he was reprimanded in any way that I would hold massive protests outside of the Canton DPW. Lucky was never reprimanded for this. October 11, 2023 - I am arrested for witness intimidation and my phone is taken by the State Police. They gave me back a copy of the extraction, which my ex-gf has since distributed to the bad guys. Unfortunately in the extraction I made disparaging comments about Lucky in a private conversation that was never meant to see the light of day, which I am sorry I said, and more sorry that Lucky had to see because they are hurtful. Lucky is a great person and a hero as far as I'm concerned. June 2024 - Lucky meets with @BostonDefender and then testifies truthfully at trial. June 2025 - Lucky once again testifies truthfully at trial. I hope that this answers all your questions and we can stop dragging Lucky into this. You, me, and Lucky are all fighting the same fight and should be united in our common goal for justice.
