I'm not Maga but I despise Mamdani, and we're all (MAGAs and capitalists I'm general) are laughing because all he does is make announcements, and his supporters think that is the same as actual accomplishments. The only "accomplishments" he has announced were the continuation of programs and policies started by the prior administration(s). Eventually, you will see him for the fraud that he is, but for now, we're just sitting back and enjoying the entertainment.

@pubity They are not charging reasonable prices. They are deliberately losing money selling food below cost. That's not only unreasonable, it's illegal. If a for-profit v business did the same thing it would be called an antitrust violation and the courts would put a stop to it.

The city stores are using taxpayer funds to sell groceries below cost. In other words, the city stores are deliberately losing money to subsidize below-cost pricing. If a for-profit business did that it would be illegal (a basic antitrust violation) and stopped by the courts, so I would imagine the claims are based on that principle.
