EDUCATION EXCELLENCE: SHOWCASING AGEGE’S COMMITMENT TO LEARNING I had the pleasure of receiving the Education Secretaries across the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LGEA), alongside the management team of Agege Local Government led by our Council Manager, Otunba Sogo Oshikoya. The visit, facilitated by the Education Secretary of Agege LGEA, Hajia Jannat Bashorun Olokodana, provided an opportunity to showcase the progress we are making in transforming education in Agege. For us, education is not just a sector—it is the foundation upon which the future of our community is built. That is why, within a short period, we have rehabilitated 17 blocks of primary schools, recruited qualified and experienced teachers, strengthened school security, established modern skill acquisition centres, and built a Tech Innovation Hub where our young people can gain practical skills alongside their formal education. These investments reflect our belief that every child deserves access to quality education in an environment that inspires learning, creativity, and excellence. I was humbled by the kind words shared by Mr. Onakoya Onayemi, the Education Secretary of Shomolu LGEA, who spoke about my longstanding commitment to service. I also appreciate the confidence expressed by the Education Secretaries and reaffirm my commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen education across our communities. Together, we will continue to invest in our children, empower our teachers, and build an education system that prepares the next generation to lead, innovate, and succeed.
