@anon_opin I like their work up until Jazz. After that most of their albums comprise of 2 or 3 great songs with much filler. Their first 5 years though were very good overall.

@TheExtremeMusi1 They got out around the right time. I've no doubt they would have got together had John not died in 1980, but their legacy remained pretty much frozen in time from 1970 onwards which only adds to the myth

@e_waldron317 @GlamSlam72 Alice Cooper were on their 5th album at that point, admittedly on the verge of their breakthrough British hit. If anything, Bowie had ramped up the early glam rock image off his mate Marc Bolan and took it to the next level.

@NicholasBoyd There was probably as much influence from the Glam rock sounds & football terrace chants of Slade, the tight R&B of Dr Feelgood, the stoner blues of The Groundhogs. Not downplaying the reggae influence on punk though, but it was a sun of many parts.

@TelBallard @KitDerrick1 The blues influence from Peter Green had all but gone by Kiln House, but they are enjoyable albums even without any obvious hit singles, there's plenty to enjoy
