Forgotten Freedom Fighters of India (Part II). Before 1857 and beyond, many unsung heroes sacrificed everything for Bharat’s freedom. From Tilka Majhi – the first tribal warrior who raised arms against the British in 1784, to Sidhu & Kanhu Murmu who shook the empire in the Santhal Hul of 1855, and Raja Ram Baksh Singh & Raja Nahar Singh, who chose death over surrender in 1857. Their courage may not be in every textbook, but it lives forever in India’s soil. Let’s remember these real legends who paved the way for our independence.

#Pogrom is going on in #Bangladesh. News coming in from #Thakurgaon district. Islamists stopped the cremation of a dead body of a Hindu man in #Pirganj Upazila. Later, the Police intervened and the cremation was done. Local Hindus alleged that for hundreds of years, Hindus have been using the land for cremation. But, in the last few years, Islamists grabbed some parts of the cremation ground and buried some people. Since then, Islamists have been trying to stop the Hindu cremation.
