So here I am, publicly saying that I’m enjoying my life lately. It’s a terrifying confession to make. It’s the tip of the iceberg. But it’s what’s on my mind, and I want to remember it.
I am a whole person with complex emotions. I am allowed to feel however I feel. I can educate on grief/widowhood, but I can also just be a 27yo woman enjoying the moment. I can post whatever I want, to document how I’m feeling in this moment, to capture what I want to remember.
I’ve been enjoying my life lately. ⬇️ Then I’ve been struggling to accept that I enjoy my life because it feels like I’m betraying Michael. ⬇️ Then I’ve been working on accepting that I can feel both grief and joy simultaneously. Neither negates the other. 🔁
