@Silast_UP Yeah, mapping in this system remains just as simple as mapping in 2D. All the maps are in fact in 2D. The trade off is that I don’t have a system to achieve the geometry from games like BW.

@1bloodonmyjeans Black 2/White 2 had hidden grottos. They're easily missable, so I've never really interacted with them in the official game either.

Hidden Grottos are a great way to snag some Pokemon with good IVs and hidden ability early on. First time I actually engaged with the feature was in Pokemon Polished Crystal. Great hack btw.

@Inkjoel_ Map and event wise, probably around 10%? The engine side, UI, data, graphics, etc is all done for the most part. I'm coding in new animations for the overworld here and there as I get inspiration.

@iced_t513 Not really. I'm not applying any shaders to 3D models since there are no 3D models in the mix. So they are baked as is, and drawing an outline around the whole bake would look weird. It'd probably require some serious engine rework that I don't have the expertise or interest for.
