Great research on the movement and emerging trends in developing AI for underrepresented languages. One key recommendation from researchers at @StanfordHAI is especially timely: to incentivize and support the development of equitable data ownership frameworks—frameworks that both enable access to AI training data for developers and protect the rights of data subjects and creators in low-resource language communities. This is exactly the kind of shift we’re seeing now.
