Startups are a series of marathons, run at a sprint, while watching your feet. Learn to learn fast, pivot, y built. Pivot and execute. This is the snarky sideLowCodeCTO.com Boston, MAJoined February 2025
Just got burned by @render. Worked startup workspace got locked out. I had access to their workspace, so all my paid workspace was locked/frozen. Days to restore. No email - No communications.

Render what happened? You (use to) rock.
Founders need stress. They need a shark behind them to make them iterate faster. If the shark is one foot behind you, you don't paddle harder. You get good at staying one foot ahead.
Founder Fumbles: You don’t put your friends on your cap table unless they bring three things you can’t replace. Cap table issues can kill friendships.
Also, remember to use your 'clift'.
Startup Hiring Power Move: Founding teams have churn. Egos get bent. When people leave, bring them into a different orbit. Let emotions fade and rebuild the bridge. Don’t create enemies with time bombs that can come back to hurt the startup.
Startup Insight: "Startup founding teams change a lot during the first fundraising. Dragging your idea across the finish line means someone might not survive the first funding event."
Newsletter creators, stop tell me all the time how many people subscribe to your newsletter. It's a false metrics and bad flex.
Maybe tell me how many people have paid for 6 or 12 months for your content?
Now that's a flex I can value.
When to incorporate or set up an LLC for your startup? You don’t incorporate a business until you’ve got growing revenue. Anything else is stupidity.
Pre-scaling an idea is a waste of effort. Its not progress.
Founders can spend to much time in the lab; planning, coding and building. But the first $1 from a client is the line between commercializable and not. Drive for $1 in revenue.
Tell a developer that the future of the professional is product owners and that they need to change everything is a risk prop.

Day 13 of turning off my 'Code Brain' and building apps using just AI. So I deliver code, but I don't write it. So all the outcome and none of the syntax dopamine of doing what I have spent years doing.
