A 79-year-old retired nurse was told she could go to JAIL because arthritis left her unable to mow her lawn... ...so STRANGERS showed up at her door the very next morning, a lawyer took her case for FREE, and an army of volunteers landscaped her ENTIRE yard. ❤️ Her name is Beverly Thomas. She spent 33 YEARS as a nurse in Willoughby, Ohio, caring for other people's mothers, fathers, and children. Now she's 79 and she has arthritis and tremors. She uses a walker just to answer her front door. The city summoned her to court on MISDEMEANOR charges for "failure to maintain her property." She's on a fixed income. She couldn't afford a landscaper. She couldn't afford a lawyer. She called social services for help and got nothing.
