The fact that the Republican Party is actively fighting against a man like Scott Presler , instead of recruiting him and following his lead, tells us all that the swamp runs deeper than we all think. OK, here's why the Democrats got kicked in the groin by the Virginia Supreme Court. The people of Virginia, in trying to protect against momentary democratic (small 'd') emotions of the day, put into their Constitution that, in order to amend it, there had to be two things
Many of you on the left are commenting that the decision was 4-3, as if the math somehow changes what actually happened. Four Justices on the Virginia Supreme Court canceled the votes of every person who voted “yes.” All the money. All the effort. Cancelled. I know it is easy to blame the Court for what happened today. But here is the absolute truth: The Virginia Democrats broke the law. They did it openly, blatantly, and with complete disregard for the consequences. They believed they were untouchable because they controlled the executive branch and the legislative branch. The acted like mob bosses with no accountability. But in a government with checks and balances - the Courts always have the final say. Your vote was not canceled because four justices woke up and decided to invalidate an election. Your vote was canceled because Virginia Democrats put the Court in a position where the law required intervention. You should absolutely be angry that your vote was taken away. But be angry at the people who ignored the law and caused this mess in the first place. If Democrats had simply followed the Constitution and done it correctly, none of this would have happened.

One of the things our pals on the Left have going for them is that sane people NEVER believe they are doing what they're actually trying to do. Because their actions are INSANE. Seriously. For example, our landscaper was here this weekend, and he stopped me on my way to grab our mail. He wanted me to look at some dead grass (yay), and while he's not 100% sure about what I do for a living, he has some idea. And that's why he asked me about the redistricting here in Virginia ... LC: You cover this stuff, right? Me: Yeah, sorta. LC: Can you tell me what Spanberger is doing with our districts? Me: You mean the redistricting? LC: Yes. Me: Basically, Democrats want to take our state, which is currently represented by 6 Democrats and 5 Republicans, and make it 10 Democrats and 1 Republican. He looked at me as if I were lying. He even did the 'pfft' thing. I just smiled. LC: Why would they do that? I don't believe you. Me: Because they want more control in DC. He stopped again. He shifted from foot to foot, took his sunglasses off, and looked me in the eye. LC: Seriously. Me: Yes, seriously. LC: But that doesn't make any sense. Me: No shit. He laughed. I did not. I shrugged. He stood there a moment longer and then put on his sunglasses and walked away. As he left, I said, 'You should vote no, whether you believe me or not. I have nothing to gain by telling you the truth here. Do your research... the vote is April 21. I don't know if I actually convinced him, but the fact that he asked me... Virginians aren't as dumb as Democrats hoped they would be. VOTE NO, VIRGINIA.
