It's been 2 days that FG unveiled construction of Sokoto-Badagry highway road, I'm surprised that Radio and TV station presenters that condemned Lagos-Calabar Costal Road aren't condemning this Sokoto-Badagry. @atiku and many Northern handles we saw here vehemently analyzing how Lagos-Calabar is a waste are saying this Sokoto-Badagry is a waste... @PeterObi said something about Lagos-Calabar Costal Road, why is he not saying exactly the same thing about this Sokoto-Badagry Road also? Dualisation of the 1,068 kilometres of road in the Illela local Government of Sokoto State. The road which starts from Illela town of Illela Local Government in Sokoto, is expected to pass through seven states of Sokoto, Kebbi, Niger, Kwara, Oyo, Ogun, and Lagos states respectively, was awarded to Hitech Construction Company Limited.

They might release less than N200m for that line item. 6: They managed cash based on CBN or revenue returns from revenue remittances agencies. 7: They are basic line items that will feature in any yearly budget. They are purchase of office equipment, electricity bills, telephone, motor vehicles, motorcycles, renovation and etc. 8: Budget proposal is not the same as procurement and cash releases. Check previous budget from the past FG not Obasanjo - past FG not Buhari, you will find those items. 9: They will not be cash backed. 10: Check the capital expenditure releases from 1999 to May 29, 2023. Then what is the actual budgetary provision per year Vs the % of actual cash releases from HM, FMOF and OAGF. 10: Newspapers and local illiterate critics of budgetary process are misleading people.

Renewable Energies Renewable Energies are energies from natural sources that are naturally abundant for human consumption. It has since dominated the discussion for alternative source of energy in an effort to sanitize the environment and encourage economic sustainability. Sunlight (Solar) Energy remains one of the leading sources of renewable energy in Nigeria owing to the abundant sunlight and solar irradiation in especially the Northern part of the country. Solar irradiance is the energy per unit area received from the sun as electromagnetic radiation within the wavelength range of the measuring instrument, typically measured in kilowatt-hours per square meter (kWh/m2) in the solar industry. Understanding solar irradiance is fundamental to unlocking the solar potential in the "Giant of Africa," Nigeria. Analyzed data obtained in a 5-minute interval over a period of one year (2020) revealed that solar irradiation in northern Nigeria falls in the range of 5.62-7.01 kWh/m2, while in the south, the range is 3.54-5.43 kWh/m2 due to constant humidity. This positions Nigeria very well in a top spot amongst the leading nations with high potential in solar energy. The country has potential of achieving about 427,000MW of energy while a report titled Renewable Energy Roadmap for Nigeria estimated that 5,000MW and 25,000MW of utility-scale solar power can be produced by 2030 and 2050, respectively; as for the off-grid solar system, it is expected to provide 13,000MW by 2030 and 29,500MW by 2050. Recall that the current electricity generation capacity stands at about 13,000MW with achievable output of less than 5,000MW daily. And this for a population of about 220 million people. The united nations Sustainable Development Goal No 7 buttressed the need to ensure global adoption and promotion of sustainable energies. The world bank thereby invested heavily in that regard especially in emerging economies like Nigeria through the Rural Electrification Agency of Nigeria. The Agency has so far developed multiple off-grid solar projects across Nigeria ranging from 10KWP ro 100KWP targeting rural communities. The world bank president was in Nigeria for monitoring purposes and was impressed by the level of compliance and implementation by the Nigerian Government. Its in the best interest of Nigeria to invest all the necessary resources in harnessing the vast solar potential for economic sustainability. REA is open to all Nigerians especially in rural areas with no access to on the grid electricity supply. God bless Nigeria 🇳🇬
