Polygon PoS Heimdall v2 Mainnet migration is scheduled for July 10, 2025, with deployment expected from 02:00–05:00 PM UTC. Block height: 24404500 Technical context for node operators below and more details here: forum.polygon.technology/t/heimdall-v2-… For questions and coordination, please reach out in the forum. Following the upgrade, Heimdall will finalize blocks in ~5s. This will enable fast and absolute finality, rather than relying on probabilistic confirmation via block depth.
Polygon PoS Heimdall v.2 Migration: Released on Amoy Testnet. Improvements PIP-62: Migration from Heimdall v.1 to v.2 with genesis data imported PIP-43: upgrading consensus layer with CometBFT to streamline transaction processing, improve state synchronization, and allow more efficient handling of external data PIP-44: refactoring to upgrade dependency on Cosmos SDK Mainnet release coming soon.
